We offer a private school setting of the highest quality Montessori education. Our Primary Morning program runs from 8:30 to 11:30. Our Primary Full Day, for 5 and 6 year olds, runs from 8:30 to 2:45. We maintain a low student-teacher ratio and small classes.

Montessori classrooms provide a prepared environment where children are free to respond to their natural curiosity and desire to learn and grow.

The children's inherent love of learning is encouraged by giving them opportunities to engage in spontaneous meaningful activities under the guidance of a trained Montessori teacher and assistant.

Through their work, the children develop concentration, motivation, persistence, and discipline. Within the framework of order, the children progress at their own pace and rhythm, according to their individual capabilities, during the crucial years of development.

About Us
The Montessori School of Dunwoody was established by Barbara Ann Doan, the owner and director. Barbara Ann is an A.M.I. certified Montessori teacher. She brings her 20 plus years of experience to this small neighborhood school located in the heart of Dunwoody.

Our Academic Year
Our school runs five days a week and follows a traditional, 10 month, academic calendar.
A fun Montessori Summer program is available for June and July.
Primary Morning students may also take advantage of our "Lunch Bunch" program and stay for lunch
from 11:30 to 12:30.
